Adam Brody. Pernah tau sosok ini? Saya baru ‘kenal’ sama cowok kurus ini waktu pertama kali nonton the OC di tv7 4 yahun yang lalu, di kos-kosan di kawasan gang sawo-depok, kos keren bernama Punix ;D

 

Wuaaaaooowww..menarik sekali perannya si Adam di the OC. OC, Orange County, adalah sebuah serial remaja yang (akhirnya) cuma bertahan 4 season. Ceritanya abg banget (hmmmmff..abg orang sono yaaaa..walau orang kita menuju kesitu..), dan menurut saya plot-nya bagus banget, apalagi di season1. Di season2 kurang greget, kayak nyari-nyari masalah gitu, semacam telenovela, huhuuu.. dDi season 3 dan 4 saya kurang tau siiih, abis saya belom beli dvd originalnya..mahal euuuy… (hhwhehheheee.. long live AntiPiracy!) Yah pokoknya keren banget lah gambaran saya mengenai sosok adam brody melalui penokohan seth cohen ’si aneh’ yang diperankannya. Kalo Gilmore Gorls menampilkan Rory yang beyond expectation dengan kepintaran dan ke-pendiam-annya, maka seth-nya oc ini ditampilkan dengan againsting the flow; karakter yang ga populer; but still: menarik dengan caranya sendiri. Gimana ya.. lucu-lucu nyebelin, sarkastis, aneh, pede mengarah ke ga nyaman sama dirinya sendiri, pokonya kombinasi kepribadian yang lucu ditampilkan Josh Schwatz (produser sekaligus sutradara the oc) melalui Seth Cohen ini..

Adam Brody Talks About Being the Nerd of ‘The O.C.’

NEW YORK —  Sometimes it’s a fine line between where a character ends and the actor begins.

This is true for Adam Brody , who plays Seth Cohen on Fox’s latest drama “The O.C.”

“As the show goes on, Seth is becoming more like me and that’s from Josh [Schwartz, creator/writer] knowing me and writing it more to me, and me looking at it at and making it more like me,” said 23-year-old Brody, of his nerdy-yet-cool “misfit” character.

“I like to think that I’m a little steadier on my feet with girls, but other than that, we’re into the same things, even clothing – sometimes the other cast asks if I’m dressed when we’re rehearsing the scene.”

Other elements of Brody’s personality that have been written into the show include Seth being a “comic book nerd,” last night’s reference to one of Brody’s “all-time favorite bands,” Death Cab for Cutie, and his penchant for saying “uh” and “dude.”

“I say ‘uh’ a lot and that’s in all my speeches. I say ‘dude’ way too much – they write that in for me a lot, but a lot of times that’s just me not being able to help myself,” Brody said.

Off set, the differences are more obvious: Brody plays drums in his self-described “wannabe indie rock – really bad Weezer” garage band, drinks a lot of coffee, surfs and watches almost every movie out.

Many viewers probably recognize Brody from his season-long stint as Lane’s boyfriend on “Gilmore Girls,”  where “they make you talk faster.

“I talk pretty fast normally, but it’s nice – the luxury of being able to take a breath,” says Brody.

Since its premiere on Aug. 5, ratings for “The O.C.” have steadily climbed and its growing popularity hasn’t escaped the cast.

It’s really weird to have it go from 0 to 60 as fast as it did and to all of a sudden step out and have people say: ‘Hey, ‘The O.C.,’ love it man,’ ” says Brody.

“I was reading ‘Entertainment Weekly’ and Conan O’Brien was talking about his future and he said something like ‘who knows, maybe in five years I’ll be living in a pool house on “The O.C.,” ‘ and I thought ‘Oh my God, it’s pop culture now, it’s officially out there.’ “

When the show returns on Oct. 30, to its new timeslot on Thursdays at 9 p.m., Brody reveals that Anna comes back when school starts and “I get my little love triangle – get to finally have two girls, fightin’ for Seth.”
